LeVar Burton is an accomplished actor and director. Burton starred in
Roots, the most-watched show in American television history. His stirring
portrayal of Kunta Kinte garnerd him an Emmy nomination, and he has played
memorable roles as Geordi La Forge on Star Trek: The Next Generation and
Martin Luther King in Ali.

Burton's directing work is wide and varied. He has done numerous
television commercials as well as a large body of television and film.
Burtons television works include episodes of various Star Trek series, as
well as episodes of Charmed, JAG, and Las Vegas, the miniseries Miracle's
Boys and the documentary The Tiger Woods Story.

His first theatrical film direction was 2003's Blizzard for which he
received a "Best of Fest" award from the Chicago International Children's
Film Festival, and a Genie Award nomination for his work on the film's
theme song, "Center of My Heart." Additional films include the Disney
Channel Original Movie "Smart House" and the 2008 theatrical release
"Reach For Me"
